In Eres Holz: Waisengarten, shared suffering turns intimately human. The title itself holds a quiet ambivalence, whispering of rootlessness and solace. Desperate cries and darkly smoldering uncertainty dissolve into glimmers of celesta and glockenspiel — sparks of light breaking through, unfolding into a sensuous, iridescent beauty.

Also premiered was Waisengarten by the Polish-born Israeli Eres Holz. Fragile sounds cautiously probe through rests and suddenly accumulate into harsh dissonances, which unexpectedly give way to delicate glockenspiel. The sonic symbol of a surreal childhood is then brutally crushed by the grinding mill that resumes once again.
